What do you think about the form of these wooden chess pieces from @paul.joshua_ ?â â "Chess â the most legendary board game of all time â the game of kings. My granddad taught me how to play chess many years ago. During the pandemic, my passion for it was rekindled, as it was for so many others. During that time, I started designing my own chess pieces and spent over a year refining their look and realisation. In many elaborate steps, they are crafted into a perfect harmony of shape, weight and finishâŠâ â All 32 pieces are hand-turned using European walnut and maple wood. I consciously forgo copy attachments and instead meticulously check the measurements, shape and quality of each piece. The knightâs head is carved by hand. In the final stages, the pieces are drilled out and completed by adding a brass weight.
