The Keeper shoe rack from @joaoteixeira_designstudio "This is a project I have been working on for a while now and it represents my first freelance work as a product designer. The briefing consisted in developing a flat-pack shoe rack that could also be affordable, sustainable, and configurable. I went for a clean and minimal approach on this one, paying attention to detail. The seat joint and rounded corners add continuity to the overall shape of it. The slatted frame adds an interesting contrast between sharp/soft and pale/colored."

It comes in two versions: brushed stainless steel or with a slate-black powder coating. The drip tray is the ideal height for accommodating folding umbrellas so they are to hand at all times. Proportions of stone shelf Consists of tables, chairs, and other functional furniture pieces. The dimensions of each piece were determined by the stones borrowed from nature. The shapes and functions of the designs were only formed after. Stones mounted on manufactured steel plates play both structural and aesthetic roles. These juxtaposed mediums are opposite, yet balanced - fulfilling the artist's desire to "balance the relationship between nature and artifact." Via @leesisan
